Installation Guide
Learn how to install and set up Goals on your device.
System Requirements
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or newer
- Safari 14 or newer
- Raycast (optional, for hotkey access)
- Internet connection for initial setup and syncing
Safari Installation
Follow these steps to install Goals as a Progressive Web App (PWA) using Safari:
Step 1: Visit the Website
Open Safari and navigate to goals.duskfare.com
Make sure you're using Safari browser, as it provides the best installation experience on macOS.
Step 2: Add to Dock
To add Goals to your dock:
- Click on the "Share" button in Safari's toolbar (square with arrow pointing up)
- Scroll down in the share menu and select "Add to Dock"
- In the dialog that appears, you can edit the name if desired
- Click "Add" to complete the process
Step 3: Launch the App
Click on the Goals icon in your dock to launch it. The app will open in its own window, separate from Safari, providing a native app-like experience.
Raycast Integration
For quick access to Goals, you can set up a hotkey using Raycast:
Step 1: Install Raycast
If you don't already have Raycast installed:
- Visit raycast.com and download the installer
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions
- Launch Raycast after installation
Step 2: Configure Hotkey
- Open Raycast (default hotkey is Option (⌥) + Space)
- Type "Extensions" and select "Extensions" from the results
- Click the "+" button and select "Add Application"
- Find and select "Goals" from your Applications
- Click on the newly added Goals in the extensions list
- Click "Add Hotkey" and press your desired key combination (e.g., ⌘ + G)
- Click "Save" to confirm your hotkey
Tip:You can now quickly open Goals from anywhere on your Mac by pressing your configured hotkey.
